You've heard of The Apprentice, right?
Well, as a laugh I applied for series 2 of the UK version. The application form was ... irritating, to say the least.
Here's a sample question or two:
"Do you consider yourself to be religious? If so, what is your religion and what does it mean to you?"
"What intimidates you?".
So I started off being sensible and within 5 seconds was effectively writing 'f off' to every question.
Ignoring the fact that ostensibly the purpose of this programme is that it is an 'extended interview' and the first question is arguably one that could not be asked in an interview because it might contravene current discrimination law, or be seen to, the questions are patently geared towards obtaining as many 'dancing monkeys' and 'wannabe tossers' as possible.
I considered that effectively writing f-off multiple times would make the 'producers' (?) or whoever saw the application simply consider that I was a nutcase and bin the appy. Hear no more, I thought.
Alas for today's world! They actually asked me to an interview/meeting/or whatever!!
I have declined to go and as it was this morning, I'm home free and safe.
I want no part of that particular circus.
