“ Everyone has weakness; even you. That is why they (and I) are here: to learn them, know them, and protect you by defending them. “

So hard to write, each word a drop of amber forced from with bare hands alone. Each stroke of the pen requiring, nay demanding, precision; a unique moment never again to see the light of day. Each drying dash of ink calling for a pause to let it do its work, turn leaden thoughts to golden dreams, a moment into eternity. So few know what strength, what power they might possess were they to seek it in this way. Though many, one might say all, would vouch the hardship such a path might take. To write with the beauty that joy can bring as you feel it flower within.

I see fields where battles might be won and lost: an advantage here a weakness there. I see plains that can grow crops to feed our men and shelter that might house them. Truly, this is a glorious land upon which we have come and it is for us to use it as we will, for our own ends. And as we flourish, it will flourish, content to be made use of at last, appreciated for what it gives us.

…on that fateful morning, as he set his army to work, taming the wild animals that might otherwise disrupt his plans. That lived upon the land, but as beasts that placed a burden on the world, rather than shared its load. Thus spoke…and thus spoke fate. Joined at the hip. Joined in conquest.

It is safe to say the best of plans go awry. It is oft the saving of the plan that is the making of the plan. And this would be no different, save difference knows itself only the mirror, the eyes of others.

Here night is day as the latter is too harsh, too hot and searing for life to survive. It may well do so, but none have seen it. Some may well have sought to do so, but they did not return and none went looking for them. Or their remains.

He’s sick, fearful he cannot face this enemy like a soldier, a man. He cannot know glory, even in defeat. It is eating him up from the insides, in more ways than one.

In response to a question I've been asked, the answer is yes, the following may plunder any of my so-called 'mind dumps' or even any of the other, unfinished stuff to do with as they will. If you find anything there, of course.
The mind dumps are on the Templeton Grove blog.
The only caveat is: please let me see the finished article; just so I can see what you've done with it.
Here is the list, using your blogger name and working down my list (with name of blog beside most):
