Day 4 and the mog’s let me stroke her once.
I can’t find the school and the guard (black and white combats) gives me directions – in French, go figure.
Internet access is described as ‘limited’. This translates as there’s one computer that the boss uses as his own and the rest of you can fight over it during free periods, which don’t seem to exist cause all the lessons are at the same time! And even though I should be able to translate the Russian text through my familiarity with computers, it don’t seem to work that way…hmmm.
I’m concerned about my homestay. My host is great but she and her mum (2 for the price of 1) eat off of small plates and I have a big one. And when her son came for Sunday lunch with his wife yesterday, I noticed that we get meat and they don’t. I don’t like this, am I taking the food off their plates? I hope they’re getting well paid for putting me up. And I will have a decent conversation with them before I leave here!
My co –“newbie” comes from San Antonio and is muy intelligente and thinks I’m very young – ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow, she and I have to have an AIDS test - @~’”%&^?!!!
Why??!! I haven’t got it, I don’t want it, and I’m bloody well not getting it! Just cause other people can’t control themselves! *fumes*.
Internet access otherwise is bloody expensive – for now, at least. I think it’s the double-standard charging rate being applied.
My Russian is … … …, er, …where is my Russian?
I think I speak cat better.
If someone speaks to me I tend to answer along the lines of “Ich hatte gern avec vous hablar mai no posso parlare con ti, unless you speak-a-da-Engleesh.” They usually just shrug and walk away. Why does no one round here speak the lingo (English), eh?
Mmmmm. Jonny Esperanto? Whaddya think? Sounds like a 3rd rate racing driver with a dodgy ‘tache to me!
